(Un)Learning Experiences - We create differentiated (Un)learning experiences that help individuals and teams address their own implicit bias and then move towards understanding the perspectives and experiences of others. These workshops are specifically crafted to support people as they look inward, excavating their own privilege and bias, as well as guide individuals to a deeper understanding of how their ways of being challenge or support racism.
(Un)Learning Literature Review: Culturally Relevant Resource Revision - Using a culturally relevant and antiracist methodology and framework, we review resources related to you or your organization so as to decolonize the language and offer suggestions on how to incorporate counter-narratives, center marginalized voices, and acknowledge the current and historical socio-political landscape.
(Un)Learning Coaching and Consulting We offer one-on-one coaching and consulting to support people on their antiracist journey. We use a holistic method and create a courageous environment that encourages individuals to show up authentically and focus inward first. We understand that while (Un)learning begins with the individual, in order to maintain it, long-term support through loving relationships and community is crucial, and this is in part what these coaching and consulting sessions offer.
(Un)Learning Cultural Diagnostic As organizations and teams engage on their antiracist and more equity-centered journey, it can feel overwhelming and quite abstract. We live in a society that has never experienced antiracism fully, so getting started can be daunting. We use a participatory methodology to engage stakeholders to assess where individuals are on their antiracist journey, as well as where the organization is regarding policy and practice. As we learn, together we create strategic and scaffolded plans to support organizations as they transform. This process takes time and is not linear.
(Un)Learning Healing and Well-Being Framework We acknowledge the sociopolitical institutions that we all operate within are shaped through oppressive systems. These systems were designed on false hierarchies (sexism, racism, ageism, ableism, colorism, etc) that cause harm and deserve healing. We all have had different experiences of harm within the institutions we work and engage. Harm can be explicit or implicit. We believe learning about and centering healing is imperative to honoring humanity rather than the institutions. We work in partnership with organizations and teams to integrate practical healing and well-being practices by building a non-linear and "living” framework with partners.
(Un)Learning Capacity Builders We acknowledge systems of oppression and the harm they cause within individuals and institutions. We offer Capacity Builders, or people trained in Racial Healing to be a support for you, your team, and organization during your internal collective spaces/meetings. This allows participants to leave an internal collective space and join our Capacity Builders. Participants can do so at anytime if they feel they have been harmed, if feelings are sparked that they need help digesting, if they need a moment to breathe, to be witnessed, affirmed, cared for by loving individuals. **Note. Our Capacity Builders are not mental health practitioners.**
